She earned her Ph.D.\nin Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the National University of\nSingapore in 2014. After completing her Ph.D., she joined the King Abdullah\nUniversity of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia as a postdoctoral fellow\nuntil 2017 before returning to Vietnam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Ngoc\u2019s\nresearch has covered a wide range of interdisciplinary research fields focusing\non the areas of energy generation from renewable sources such as biofuels and\nocean energy, waste water treatment to be recycled and\/or to reduce\nenvironmental impacts, utilization of food waste or by-products as a resource\nto produce value-added products, and utilization of under-valued agricultural\nplants to produce biodegradable materials to replace plastics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Ngoc is a recipient of IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award from the Institution of Engineering in Singapore in 2010 in recognition of an outstanding engineering project which has made significant contributions to Singapore\u2019s development. She is also a recipient of the <em>Green Talents<\/em> award by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in 2013 in recognition of her outstanding achievements in making the society more sustainable. She has also received numerous national awards.  Dr. Ngoc\u2019s work was selected to present its findings on breaking the wall of green energy at the final Falling Walls Lab Competition in Germany in 2014. She has 17 peer-reviewed papers published in prestigious journals (Q1), one book chapter published by Elsevier and one filed U.S. patent (with the total citation of 800 and h-index of 14).
